Balochistan has a dry climate and there is little water whole year round. What is needed is climate sensitive and terrain based engineering projects to harvest the little rain water happen to come around once or twice a year and not only to store but also to recharge the underground water in order to lessen the constant fear of drought in these areas. Keeping in view the recent opportunities created by China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in the infrastructure development sector in the area, Lasbela University has a responsibility and it is appropriate time that research oriented programs such as Engineering, Water Resources Management and Computer Sciences should produce skilled manpower and researchers.
Faculty of Engineering Sciences and Technology is offering degrees in three Bachelor of Sciences disciplines and one Master of Sciences Discipline such as
> MS Integrated Water Resources Management
> BS Water Resources Management
> BS Computer Sciences
> BE Civil Engineering (Proposed)
